KEVI Parking Dilemma
As every student at KEVI is aware, there are new ''RULES'' regarding the parking situation for students at the high school. Mrs Mann, Mr Ramsay and Mrs Golding have declared war on any sixth former who has a car. Basically they hate the fact that we have cars and have thus stopped any student parking on the school grounds even though there is adequate space. This new rule is claimed to be enforced with expulsion but how do they know the difference between a staff car and a student car (Apart from those with a custom 'look'). Rumours have been heard of a police presence stopping students parking on the queens own highway which is Cottingwood Lane! These have proved to be exactly that (Rumours), it is a public area and they should have no control over it. No increased presence of police has been noticed, but be warned they do usually turn up ever so often. Remember that nicely done up supra that passed by some time ago, he lost his license for driving without due care and attention.
A note to all students travelling to school, find a place to park - I wont say where but we shouldn't have to walk just because it's more convenient to them. By all means be safe around the school, there have been incidents in the past with students jumping in front of cars! Some lesser individuals find it funny to try and claim on personal injury with the corrupt opinion of the school backing them up. I personally never drive beyond 10mph within a 300m radius of the school, even though the sound of my car makes people assume I am doing at least 100mph. In my opinion there should be arranged parking for students and a dramatic development of Cottingwood lane should be carried out, its not a very good school entrance to say the least! But who cares what I think, being stereotyped as a 'Boy Racer' makes me have no rights - or do I?
